sathanas festivalicus

two posts in a month...great moments for texnasma

This week an international film festival is taking place in town.
I have watched 4 movies so far and none of them was bad, i am impressed by my choices, looks like I walk in the right path!

  • "Themis" by Macro Gastine (Greece)
this is a documentary actually, presenting real trials from courts in Athens. It's amazing how interesting can a film be just by showing real people in real life...amazing idea and quite funny film. Το εργο το είδα με γνωστό εν δυνάμει δικαστή για λογους επαγγελματικής διαστροφής!

  • "Zift" by Javor Gardev (Bulgaria)
I 've been told by bulgarian friends that lof of noise happened in Bulgaria about this film and after watching that one I can understand why. Zift is an amazing film, I think that it must be the kind of film that either you love it either you hate it, there isn't anything in the middle. It's an interesting plot, a complicated story and a very well filmed movie...Well known Valadis said it's the bulgarian version of Sin City, yet this is not an animated film.

  • "Achilles and the tortoise" by Takeshi Kitano (Japan)
This is Takeshi Kitano's latest picture. He is quite famous director and actor and he was honoured with a special award before the screening for his achievements.Θεϊκή στιγμή η γιούχα προς τον δήμαρχο Παπαγεωργόπουλο κατά τη διάρκεια της τιμητικής εκδήλωσης. Kitano was also awarded with a lasting applause from the audience not only before but also after the screening. The movie is about a painter's life, from his childhood until he gets old enough. What I enjoyed in this great film is that as the painter was growing up even more paranoid things were happening in his life...this is a must see film.

  • "The tour" by Goran Markovic (Serbia)
After having wathced many serbian films(best films in the world) about the civil war in the 90s, I must say that is a typical and fine example of serbian filmaking, meaning black humour, paranoia, excellent symbolisms and great acting. The film is about some actors who make a tour in the front line of the war, trying to make easy money...I am grateful for this!

minimal sathanas

satan is stricking back, commentless posts always encourage me.... my partner also here is studying, when he grows up he will become an IT expert...κράτα γιάννη, το πτυχίο κοντά είναι!!!

Anyway, I quite enjoy lately Minimal Compact's "one by one" , and I recommend it to any reader who likes good dakwave music from the 80s.

Minimal Compact formed in 1981 when three israelis left Tel-Aviv and come to Amsterdam where they found a dutch drummer and started making music.Seven years later the band split. Detailed biografy can be found here

The music in this album is fantastic. You can find tradiotional mid-east samples, dark atmosphere and unusual vocals. Best tracks are "it takes a lifetime" and "take me away"
